Taryn Stickrath-Hutt as The Wife
(pictured with Jell-O Mold)
Taryn’s performance started as temp track, recording her (many) dialogue takes on her phone. They started as quick exercises to capture a rhythm for animation, but once Dan started working to her voice, allowing every pause and tic to inform his animation, they decided that no one else could better embody The Wife.
Bruce Wright as The Husband
Bruce Wright has been working in computer animation and visual effects for over 30 years. He is an Effects Animator at the Walt Disney Animation Studios where he directed the experimental animated virtual reality short, “a kite’s tale.” His animation credits include Moana 2, Wish, Strange World, Encanto, Raya and the Last Dragon, Moana, Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Frozen, Wreck-it-Ralph, and Tangled.
Kellie Hoover as Betty
Kellie is a veteran voice actor with extensive experience in animation. Her performance delivers a quality of both tenacity and empathy that turns this character into a remarkable foil for The Wife. Betty is tough, but she can’t seem cruel. She’s no pushover, but she cares. She’s got a depth that is unexpected.
Kellie serves that up on a silver platter.
Carlos Luna as The Doctor
Carlos is a newcomer to voice acting, though it would be hard to tell from his impeccable performance. He auditioned multiple excellent options for voice, tone, and accents, and the filmmakers quickly hired him to carry the most sensitive scene in the film.
Carlos lives in Anaheim, CA.
Grady Hutt as Elevator Guy & Announcer
Grady started his acting career as a child in commercials, TV and theater, then as a young adult he graduated to lead roles in Disneyland Live Entertainment productions. As an adult, he moved backstage and has been there ever since. He is also a musician and home coffee roaster.
Grady lives in Chicago with his wife, Taryn, and their daughter.
