Taryn is a writer, director, and artist with great passion for Old Hollywood, whodunnits, and stories about eccentric women.
She was born and raised in Southern California, and until 2021, basked in the heat and traffic of Los Angeles where she made movies, directed children’s musical theater, and performed in an alt-country band. From 2014-2020, she filled the role of “Imagineer” for the Walt Disney Company as an award-winning member of theme park design teams.
She currently lives in Chicago with her husband, two cats, and a wild toddler.
With longtime creative partner Dan Lund (Walt Disney Animation Studios), she is promoting her new animated short film (“The Finger Wife”) and developing the second short in their planned trilogy. She is also writing a feature film about art, sex, midlife crises, and mysterious coconuts.
